Common questions

Septic questions, answered honestly.

How often should I have my septic tank pumped?

Most residential septic tanks should be pumped every 3 to 5 years, but it depends on the size of your tank, the number of people in the home, and how the system is used. Larger households and homes with garbage disposals typically need pumping more often. We're happy to take a look at your system and give you a recommendation based on what we actually see.

What are the signs that my septic system needs repair?

Slow drains throughout the house, gurgling sounds in your plumbing, sewage smells inside or outside, soggy patches or unusually green grass over the drain field, and visible standing water around the tank are all warning signs. If anything looks off, call us — catching problems early almost always means a smaller repair bill.

Do you offer emergency septic repair in the Liberty-Dayton and Baytown area?

Yes — same-day service is available for urgent septic issues during our business hours (Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM). Call us as soon as you notice a problem and we'll do everything we can to get out the same day.

What's the difference between a standard and aerobic septic system?

A standard (conventional) septic system uses gravity and natural bacteria to break down waste in an anaerobic tank, then disperses effluent through a drain field. An aerobic system adds oxygen to the tank, which treats waste more thoroughly and produces cleaner effluent — making it suitable for sites where a conventional drain field won't work. Aerobic systems require regular maintenance contracts in Texas.

Can you design a septic system for a new residential or commercial property?

Absolutely. Septic design is one of our specialties — we'll assess the site, soil, and intended use, then design a system that meets local code and fits the property. We handle everything from single-family homes to commercial properties with complex wastewater needs.
